Articulation

Articulation is a term used to describe the courses taught at Metro that the four-year institution will accept because the content is the same. Articulation agreements are official contracts between a four-year institution and Metro to guarantee the Metro associates degree will transfer to the four-year institution Enter the Articulation Web Site.

High School Transfer Credit

Metropolitan Community College and partnering local high schools have formal agreements that allow students to use certain high school classes to meet Metro program requirements. Transfer to Metropolitan community college

If you are planning to transfer to Metro and are looking for information regarding the transferability of a course or course(es) you may have taken at another institution, please see the course equivalency search and/or meet with an academic advisor.

MCC Course Partnerships

To meet the needs of various groups of high school students, Metropolitan Community College (MCC) partners with secondary school officials to offer sections of MCC courses at times and locations convenient for the students. All aspects (courses, instructors, and students) of these courses meet the same qualifications/requirements as all other MCC courses. Standard Enrollment

High school students may enroll in MCC courses offered to the general public. In order to enroll at the College, a high school student must:

  • Be 16 years of age or older.
  • Have a minimum of a "C" average in high school subjects.
  • Follow the enrollment policies and procedures of the College (I.e., assessment testing and prerequisite course work).
  • Discuss enrollment with a parent/legal guardian and a high school official.

A student not meeting the above criteria who wishes to enroll may submit a Early Entry Standard Enrollment form (available from any Student Services office) and a written request stating the reason(s) s/he should be considered for enrollment. This form requires signatures of the student's parent/legal guardian and the high school principal or his/her designee. Note: Students who are 16 or older and meet the requirements DO NOT need to complete the Standard Enrollment form.
